Getting started

This guide walks you through the fastest way to get Cosmo Studio running and connected to your preferred model provider.

Install Cosmo Studio​

Download the installer for your operating system and complete the setup. The app runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. For more details checkout the Installation Guide

Add your first provider​

  1. Install and Open app
  2. Go to Settings from the side menu
  3. Select Providers.
  4. Click on Add Provider
  5. Choose a provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Ollama).
  6. Paste your API key and save.

Start a chat​

Go to the Chat Window from the side menu and click on New Chat button, pick a model, and begin a conversation. You can switch providers at any time to continue your conversation.

Tips for best results​

  • Use clear prompts with specific outcomes.
  • Keep long-running threads organized by different chats.
  • Review previous chats for context and reusable answers.
